343 Industries heeft deze week het boek Halo: New Blood aangekondigd. Mocht je na vijftien Halo-boeken geen ruimte meer in je kast hebben, geen zorgen: Halo: New Blood verschijnt alleen digitaal. New Blood is dan ook een ‘korte roman’ van circa 60.000 woorden en is geschreven door Matt Forbeck.

De hoofdrol in Halo: New Blood is voor ODST Buck. Buck kennen we nog uit Halo 3: ODST, waarin hij werd ingesproken door Nathan Fillion en de leider van jouw team is. Ook meldde hij zich kort op de radio in Halo: Reach. New Blood speelt zich af ná de oorspronkelijke trilogie games, als de UNSC werkt aan de vierde generatie Spartans.
